Tutoriumsseminar 2011

... oder das Seminar der verbrannten Unterhose...

Jaja, wir hatten einen ziemlichen Spaß. Nebenbei wurde sogar ein bisschen gearbeitet - und zwar ziemlich produktiv. Die Gruppe war super. Abgesehen von neuen Arbeitsmethoden und (mehr oder minder unfreiwilligen) gruppendynamischen  Erfahrungen habe ich folgende Erkenntnisse aus diesen 4 Tagen in Mondsee mitgenommen:

Unser Motto: zuerst schießen, dann Fragen stellen!

Wenn das Holz zu nass für's Lagerfeuer ist, kann man auch einfach seine Unterwäsche verbrennen! (Wir haben da auch einen Spezialisten, der gerne mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung steht...)

At night in the woods... man sollte immer eine Taschenlampe mitnehmen. Planung (zumindest ein bisschen... in irgendeiner Form) empfiehlt sich.

Nach 5 Jahren kann man zum Proto-Tutor aufsteigen. Bevorzugterweise Proto-Bulgaren.

Das Wetter in Mondsee ist einfach besser als in Wien! Ende.

Der Plan: Weltrevolution! Eh wie immer...

Außerirdische Kinder und ungarische Pornodarsteller sind Scheidungsgründe.

Unbedingt einmal im Leben das Tata Museum besuchen! Gleich nach den Patronas Towers... ^_^

Zukunftsperspektiven nach dem Slawistik-Studium: immer noch keine! Yay!

Wort des Tutoriums: Ich hätte gerne ein bisschen... Scheisse, scheisse! 

Man nehme die letzten beiden Wörter und hänge sie zur Bereicherung jeglicher Kommunikation einfach hinten an jeden x-beliebigen Satz! ^_^

So schmeckt Slowakisch 2011

Prezentácia pedagógov a študentov Inštitútu slavistiky Viedenskej univerzity "So schmeckt slowakisch II"

Yesterday we had a really cool event, organised by the Institut für Slawistik (where I study), Slovakisches Institut Wien and the Slovak Embassy in Vienna (Veľvyslanectvo Slovenskej republiky vo Viedni). We were invited to the home - and residence is much more suitable word in this context... really, you should have seen the house - of the Slovak Ambassador in Austria: Dr. Peter Lizak. The event was entitled "So schmeckt Slowakisch" (Taste of Slovakia / Tak chuti slovencina). They started it last year and it was huge success. So they did it again this year. Lucky me! I really enjoyed it!

First we did something like a little show. There were songs, poems, a short sketch (which I participated in) and a play based on the tale of "Red Riding Hood": Karkulka, alias Červená čiapočka a Mr. Wolf. In a modern version, in Slovak of course. So funny...

After that there was a huge buffet with typical Slovak food and refreshments and wine. We even got icecream later on. Overall it was a great evening. And a perfect opportunity to dress up! But my feet still hurt from standing around in my highheels all evening...

It also turned out the ambassador is fluent in Russian as well. I talked to him for a while. He started in Slovak which I understood quite well but I couldn't reply in Slovak because I can't put together one sentence... *shame on me* So out of habit I replied in Russian and then we continued to talk in Russian... Actually I could used German as well as he is fluent in that language, too... Never mind, though. It was good practice... At least I could say my Thank you's and Goodbye's in Slovak. That much I know... ^_^

Austrian-Russian Summer School / 

I almost forgot... I'm going to Russia in summer. To Sankt Petersburg to be exact. Exactly where I wanted to go. I applied for summer school some weeks ago and on May 12 received confirmation. I'm so excited. Lucky me! There were only 20 students chosen from all of Austria... Ever since my first visit to this amazing city back in 2001 I wanted to go again. And finally... I made it! I'll be in Piter from August 2-23 - and then off to Sweden, to pay a visit to my dearest friend Julia in Stockholm.

The Siege of Leningrad

We'll do a project about this at university, including a small exhibition in a museum. I've read quite a lot about that tragic event but I think here not many people know much about. Not even the Russian students... We haven't worked out the details yet and I still have to find some kind of "sub-topic" to work on... But I'm very much looking forward to it.
