Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights
I've been to my favourite book store today and simply couldn't leave without at least one (cook)book!  One look inside and a quick flick through 2 or 3 recipes - and I know I had to have it! My latest acquisition to the bookshelf...

Shopaholic

I've done a little shopping today. And I found this one piece that I loved at first sight... I haven't really been looking for a new calendar since my current one won't end before December 31, 2010. But then I found the perfect one hidden on a shelf... I loved the design, the shape, the content and the colour (although it would have been nice in Jade Green as well but this certain format wasn't available...) It has something elegant but also mysterious about it. Like an old diary, containing some very old secrets and mysteries...

Love at First Sight...

Living like Alice in Wonderland

What happens when you step into a dream? Or rather, what happens when you dream inside a dream?

Browsing through the latest issue of ELLE Decoration (German version of ELLE Decor), something immediately caught my eye: What if you could really be Alice in Wonderland for a day or two?

In Milano, a new fashion hotel from the group of desgin hotels has opened: Maison Moschino. The new hot spot for fashion and design fans, created by the creative team of the Italian fashion label Moschino and designer Rosella Jardini. All 63 rooms plus the 2 junior suites inside the lovingly renovated 19th century house (former train station) have been individually designed and decorated. Origami clouds floating from the ceiling in the entry hall, a famous Moschino dress functioning as a floor lamp, beds recreated from a ball gown... Illustrous names such as "Clouds", "Half a Room", "Zzzzzzzzzz" or "Sleeping in a Ballgown" invite you to let your imagination run wild...

Lila Downs Frida Kahlo Tango Erótico

I just recently found the name Lila Downs in one of the magazines I was reading... and it said that some of the songs in the movie "Frida" were performed by her. I absolutely love the soundtrack. I've downloaded several of her albums - absolutely fantastic. She classified herself (and the rest of her musicians) as World/Latin/Folk. Very expressive and passionate. Wonderful voice, very strong. It's almost as eccentric and colourful as Frida Kahlo herself was... Most of the songs are in Spanish but there are some in English as well. I have to say I prefer the Spanish versions though...
